audio recorder..

I recently bought an alpha 400. and I'm very please with it, no , problems with it at all. ..although I'm still getting used to the linux. the only thing I'd like to change is adding some sort of recording program to it. I'm in a band and travel sometimes and I was hoping I'd be able to add something to it. i did try the sound recorder provided with the alpha 400, but it sounds so harsh, it's hard to really make out what i'm playing. so, finally, to my point. Is there any music/audio recoding programs I could add? if not, it's no big deal as I'm still glad i purchased it. but i would love to have some kind of program on here for recording while I'm on the road and what-have-you. thanks for any info

the audio record onboard needs an external microphone or possibly webcam with mic!!

The audio input is most likely mic level, so if you are plugging a line level signal in, you will overload it and it will clip.
