getting information off an MC?

how exactly can you transfer information from an MC to a PC?

AFAIK, there are three ways, but none of them are really viable...

1) link cable, this is allmost impossible to find nowadays
2) psion card reader, not that many modern PCs have ISA slots, and i doubt the drivers would work anyway
3) palmtop magazine card reader, again, the drivers are made for windows 95 machines, so will not work under XP or Linux.

any ideas please?

The cable is the easiest solution...

If you get hold of the soap-on-a-rope cable for the Psion S3 or S3a you'll find that the PC-end of the cable is detachable, and that end fits the MC computer.
The same cable is also used on the docking cradles of some of the Industrial handhelds. (Don't have a list of which ones, though)

One place to get the cable is Psionex

Another alternative is if you could locate an old 'Bus-mouse' type mouse as they also have the same connector...
(I have a bagful of them which I've been planning to convert for this purpose. If you're stuck, PM me and we'll see)

A third option is to use a Psion S3c/S3mx as a card-reader as the Psiwin cable for these machines won't fit the MC.
